You mean, all this time you've been on dial-up? You must have the patience of a saint.

Yep! Broadband has always been terribly expensive, but prices have come down, and it has now become more affordable.

André hasn't even been using dial-up -- apparently he's been using "dail-up" (or is that how you say dial-up in Afrikaans?).

Well, I've signed up for braodband, so it's the end of dail-up for me! Maybe I'll even consider broadband soon, since I've missed out on dial-up....

 Dial-up? :tong: I don't know what Hell is like, but I'm convinced that its soundtrack is a Bobby Brown remix of the screechy dial-up tone and the ICQ "Uh-oh!".... :gaga2:

I don't know what Hell is like either, but I'll be moving to a place where there's no dail-up, no dial-up, no braodband and no broadband. I'll live there for two months but I'll be checking in as often as I can.

Try saying "dail-up, dial-up" over and over real fast and see what happens!

Does such a place actually exist?! Where, pray tell, it is?

Yes, one might think that such a place wouldn't exist these days. It's a room that originally belonged to a two floor apartment. The upper floor, the room, is where I'll be living. The door that connects the apartment and the room is sealed, so in the room there are stairs that lead down to a dead end. But luckily there's another entrance to the room so I won't have to climb through the window every time I go in or out. It's actually pretty big and there's a shower and stuff so it's like an apartment, although there's no real kitchen. But most likely it'll just be temporary, two months, and then I'll find another place to live where there's internet connection.

Does this mean we're not going to see you around much?

Benjamin,
You mean you're still on dial-up? Is high speed internet just terribly expensive there or what?

Yes.

No. The main reason for not having broadband is that we have two houses, but have different telephone companies in each. Getting broadband would mean only being able to use the internet on one of our houses.

What kind of broadband will you use?? ADSL??
I live in a multimedia house.
We have broadband connections up to 100 Megabits/Sec.
My current connection is 8Megabits/sec.
Would like a faster connection but it´s expensive.
