What's up with Verizon for the past three days? My DSL has been wonky, my cell phone's dropped like 5 calls, and my DH has gotten his emails really late on his blackberry...
It makes me want to go back to T-Mobile... :angryfire:

I don't know about Verizon, but I'm about to throw my Sprint PCS cell phone out the window. Ever since Sprint bought out Nextel, their service has sucked bhb! It keeps dropping calls and switches into roam on local calls on flat land. What gives?
I think I'm about to have a breakdown. I left my cell phone at home today, and I can't go back and get it. So here I am checking my stupid voicemail via landline, and freakin' rifling through this dusty old Rolodex trying to call people back...and half these numbers aren't current anymore. I finally banished Sprint from my life and signed up with T-Mobile. I also got a terrific new phone, which will remain nameless, with all the bells and whistles and more. So far so good. Life is wonderful.
I think I may do the same. My contract with Verizon ends in about four months, and I've absolutely had it with them. They have the best coverage in this area, and their phones are nifty when/if they work, but their customer service absolutely smells compared to T-mobile's. Also, Verizon phones only work in the US, and I have to rent a GSM tri- or quad-band phone whenever I leave the country. . _________________ "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies." ---- Groucho Marx

Because of a phone/contract?
Because now I have a fully functioning phone with the myFaves plan, so I have unlimited calls to my favorite five people. And for a gal like me who can talk and talk and talk, it's like manna from heaven.

But my phone hasn't rung all day...
Same here. Seems Elaine isn't using her unlimited calls to her favourite five people. _________________ Toe ek jonk was, het ek al die antwoorde geken. Nou verstaan ek nie eens die vrae nie.
as you're talking about phones, i will pose you this question about my mobile phone :
when a sms arrives there will be a picture of an envelope. Since about 3 weeks there's a pciture of an envelope in the same place where the other envelopes appear, btu this one has also w and there's not a sms not read in my inbox. Also there aren't messages on the voicemail or mms.
So, what's this signify? i can't discover it. My phone's sony ericson.
(I'm absolutly stupid and useless with technology.)
i've discovered it means that I've received a WAP push message!!!!
Usually I only use this phone for sms, never the internet. i suppose WAP is a message system, but I've not an idea at all where this message will be!!! How annoying, and I wish it will go away because I can't find it.
Okay, you can delete my question if you would like. i have deleted this weird envelope + w . I don't know how this ocurred, and I didn't find the message.
Keep it simple, that's what I say. I have an old Nokia and it works perfectly fine. As for contracts, I don't have one.
Do you have a pre-paid phone? I used to when I was a student, but it actually ended up being more expensive than regular phone plans.
Although I prefer Samsungs over Nokias, I agree about keeping the phones simple. One day they're going to have phones that perform triple bypass surgeries, I swear... _________________ "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies." ---- Groucho Marx

Eventually we'll end up with phones with which you could actually phone someone - now that would just be weird...
