Wow! Elaine thinks she's belle-laide and you think she's a dog. I wish I were such an ugly dog!
(Uriel, did you change your avatar to a canine one to go along with calling PC a dog? Whatever the reason, I'm glad you changed it from the mountain lion because the latter seemed so much like one I would use that I kept thinking, at first glance, that your posts were mine, and I'd get confused because I didn't remember writing them!)

No, I changed it before I wrote that, actually. I decided I'd keep moving through the list of native wildlife, and the coyote was next. I'll spare you the roadrunner, though -- it's not a particularly attractive bird. Not unlike Ms. Cruz, who just can't hold a candle to The Magnificent Monica:

She's not even in Isabelle Adjani's league, frankly:
Sorry, Spain -- you're losing out to your neighbors on multiple fronts!

Ah, très belle, Adjani, très !
But Uriel, Spain's got the beautiful Paz Vega ...
and the HOT Elsa Pataky (even though she's only half Spanish) ...

I'm digging that second one. Not the first, though. I think I like the light eyes/dark hair combo. Although I have to admit, I like my men nice and dark - hair, skin, and eyes.

Different tastes, I guess. Although they're all beautiful, and I wouldn't be unhappy looking like any of them, I prefer Cruz and Vega.

We should start a thread on which European country has the hottest babes! Paz Vega is just kicking it in that one pic!!! My word, I am salivating at the moment. I think Italy and Spain have the hottest celebs. France has Alizee though. The dark brown eyes, and dark brown to black hair, and olive skin is so hot for my tastes. France doesn't have as many of those types as Spain or Italy does.

Agreed. Shall we begin? I'll allow u the honors of starting such a thread. But most likely, I'm not as talented as finding pictures of hot celebs as you are. So, you'll have to find a few hot babes for me as well, in addition to the hunks.
Something tells me we're gonna have more hunks on there than women, since between all the gay men and straight women on this board, those interested in pictures of women are going to be greatly outnumbered, lol!

Well, I think you overestimate my ability to sniff out all the hotties. I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with European celebrity papis, except for the French football (or is it rugby?) stars that Greg occasionally posts. So maybe we should expand the scope to just hot mamas and papas in general. Just a suggestion. You can go with it or not.

Oh. Well, if you feel it's necessary then give it a go. I just don't think I'm an expert on such matters and would rather leave it to the Euros to take care of.

You mean, do I like my coffee the way I like my men -- strong and dark?
Sadly no -- I like my coffee heavily disguised with as much cream and sugar as it will hold and still be faintly beige. Just not a coffee drinker, I'm afraid!

As far as I know, she might have been an actual dog untill recently, as I wasn't aware of her existence untill I watched "Volver" and asked my friends "Who is that beautiful Spanish woman?" and was much stunned when they told me that she's was Tom Cruise's ex-girl friend! But perhaps no wonder, when I get shocked by my fellow students' inclusion of a celebrity section in our pub quizzes. I thought we were supposed to be intellectuals, I complained to deaf ears...

At last! Someone with taste!
One of the things I like about Ms. Cruz's face is that it's very lively and expressive. I'll have to watch some movie with Monica Bellucci (to whom she was unfavorably compared) again to see what I think of her face in this respect. I know I've seen her in a couple of movies, but for the life of me, I can't picture her in them or even remember what they were.

I'm with Uriel on this one - I'm not really that big on Penelope. I think Monica Bellucci has to be the supreme European Babe.
I also have this thing for English ladies with light skin and dark hair, like Rachel Weisz and Nigella Lawson.

Maybe I like Penelope Cruz because she's an ex-dancer, or at least an ex-serious dance student. And maybe because she speaks Spanish fluently , which right now seems like a very admirable quality and one that I will never possess.

I used to not really like Cruz either, because of her weird jaw bone. But it doesn't seem to bother me anymore. I'd tap that! !

Oh, definitely! I love girls from the British Isles who have that milky white skin and dark hair and dark eyes. There are several Irish and Welsh beauties who fit that description. Celtic fever for me baby, yeah!
And stop posting pictures of all these beautiful women! It's driving me mad. I'm meeting a new girl tonight at the movies. I might have to unleash the pent up arousal on her, lol.

I've only seen Monica Bellucci in 3 movies, but she struck me as stunning in all of them. Lots of women are pretty, but only some have that immediate stand-out thing, which is really a combination of looks, charisma, confidence, and carriage, that I think you just have to be born with -- it's a projection of themselves.
The Brotherhood of the Wolf
The 2nd Matrix movie (she may have briefly been in the 3rd, too -- I was pretty confused by then!)
The Brothers Grimm.
The last one was actually kind of her weakest movie, but I just had to see it -- Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, and Monica in a Terry Gilliam flick? Even when he bombs, it's always an interesting experience (and the Bros. G was not completely successful, although matt and Heath really gave it their all, playing very much against type and really trying for a different approach. And crazy Swede Peter Stormare, as an Italian in Napolean's army, harrassing the brothers through Germany ... just go with it, folks....
|
Deborah

OK, I saw The Brotherhood of the Wolf, but I don't remember any of the women (except the one who gets bashed against the cliff face at the beginning) -- I just remember some beautiful guy who, if I recall, was Native American(?).

How can you not remember them? Monica Bellucci was in it! The main character's French love interest, Émilie Dequenne, doesn't exactly splash acid into your eyes either, but nevertheless pours some into your heart.
However, Monica Bellucci is the Supreme European Babe.
This one's enough to make you fall into a pit of despair.

Monica was the hooker.
That Iroquois guy was worth having to read though that whole flick. Delicious! But alas, not really a native American -- Hawaiian/Asian, I believe. His name is Mark Dacascos.

Well, I still don't recall Monica Bellucci in that movie, even with that picture to help job my memory -- assuming that picture is from the movie. I just recall the non-Iroquois guy. And that gorgeous scenery.

Uriel: Is it really obvious that Victoria Silvstedt has gone under the knife? Is it really impossible for one to be naturally endowed in that manner?
|
Uriel
|
It's perfectly possible to have natural breasts that large -- got some myself -- but they tend to be pulled lower by gravity and have a different shape. More rounded at the bottom, less so on the upper slopes. They will also tend to point downward a little more. They aren't usually perky and high on the chest like that. The perfect roundness and position of that blond's boobs is a major indicator that they might be an upgrade, and not original factory install. Granted, large boobs can be pulled back up and wrestled into roundness by a good bra, but I don't thing that little white thing she's wearing would give enough support and shape to do the trick.

Naturally endowed women tend to be a little meaty in other areas of their body (but of course not you, Uriel!), such as in the hips, thighs, and ass. Victoria looks a little too skinny to have cans that size, which makes me think that she's had some work done.

Well, yeah, actually I have the extra, too. Sadly, more in the tummy than the hips or thighs! Luckily, the balcony overshadows it all.....

Well since Monica Belluci is already up, I'm posting pics of Manuela Arcuri, who has drawn some comparisons to Monica. Not so sure how great the comparisons are, but anyway...
And she has posed nude [willingly] before, but you can google for that yourselves ;)

I like that dark blue on her. It's more vibrant than the black, with her brown hair.
|
Deborah
|
I know my tastes were greatly shaped by having been a dancer, but looking at the lingerie photos of Manuela Arcuri, the first thing I noticed is that she, like so many models, has absolutely no development of her hamstrings (the muscles at the back of the thigh), resulting in a straight line from her knee to her butt. No me gusta.
|
Tiffany
|
Wow -I actually thought that was a good trait. I was a runner in high school and as I result I have very well developed legs (still very strong too). I absolutely hate that I cannot get this small bulge on my thigh above my knee to go away. I notice that only people who have well-developed legs have them. Some don't look bad, but I'm short so I think it looks bigger than it should! Deborah, do you know what muscle it is?

Is it the bulge on the medial part of the quadriceps, that is, toward the inner thigh? If so, it's the vastus medialis.

The website that originally had my favorite picture of Juliet Prowse is gone now. But you can kind of see what I'm talking about in this picture:

You can see that the line of the back of her thigh (the bent leg) has a curve because of her developed hamstrings.

You know, I noticed that a lot whenever I'd look at pictures of Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington, two of my favorite supermodels when I was growing up. They were beautiful to look at, but their legs seemed to have sprung straight from their torsos without taking any shape, which looked odd to me.
| Deborah wrote: | The website that originally had my favorite picture of Juliet Prowse is gone now. But you can kind of see what I'm talking about in this picture: |

I love the shape of dancer's legs.
Sorry for digressing from the topic at hand. Gomenasai.

I noticed that straightness in her legs, too. I agree with you, Deborah, that extra curve is most becoming. I always put one in when I am drawing women. Personally, I think muscular, well-defined legs look very good on a lady, so I bet you are stressing over nothing, Tiffany!
|
Deborah
|
Hey, how'd you find that picture of me?? No, not really (as if anyone believed me...) -- that doesn't look like me at all. But in my more flexible days, I used to be able to wrap both legs behind my head like that.

Tiffany

Thanks for posting a picture Deborah. Yes all three of the muscles pictured are well-developed on my legs. Perhaps I am a bit self-conscious Uriel, but my husband does think I am beautiful and that helps ;)
I think the standard of beauty that we grow up with in western countries is very very narrow.

Oh, she's great, and a very natural beauty. She also looks more like a real human being than say, La Monica.

Monica Belluci looks fake? Since when? Or were you referring to that Victoria girl with the silicone melons? Connie Nielsen is very very pretty! I don't really see the appeal of Alizée - I mean she cute and all, but she doesn't really have any kind of memorable beauty. She's missing that oomph for me. Or was that oomph supposed to be provocative dancing? Same thing with the formerly worshipped Britney Spears.
|
Uriel

She doesn't look fake, just too perfect to be human! And there's something a little cold-blooded about Monica B. in most movies I've seen her in -- not like Connie, who seems to have more emotion on her face and more life in her eyes.
