I'm a big fan of music and I was always interested in music in different languages, it would be cool to open my mind for a new melodies, new singers, groups, etc.
I started a topic about Slavic music, but it didnt have much success, well, I ve no idea if you like the same what i like, but anyway let's just share our favourite music in any foreign languages
Here I copied my message from Slavic forum:
Guys! let's share our favourite music in Slavic languages! How's my idea? Ребят! давайте делиться своей любимой музыкой на славянских языках! Как идейка?
OK, and Russian rock is for the next time, good things must be given by little proportions Ну, ладно, а про русский рок в следующий раз, хорошего по немножку

I don't have any links to provide, but I once listened to a few songs by Wir sind Helden and I found them to be rather catchy.

The links I give are not at all rock music, but in foreign languages all the same!
You're welcome! I don't know if it's your kind of music, but well...
are you serious??? do u really mean that music in foreign languages is all the same??? french rap and national chinese anthem are the same?
As Deborah said, I meant 'nonetheless" by writing "all the same".
Of course not, all music in foreign languages are not the same.
Take the example of a famous French song called "Comme d'habitude". This song had been sung in different languages. The music is still the same, but the lyrics are different.
Next time I'll try to find my fav. music in Russian
I'm eager to hear it too

Uh, so many songs to listen, OK, here my critics goes
Folk song in Breton "Alan Stivell, Tri martolod" is kind of strange for me, because on the one hand it's cool that it is in Breton (first song in Breton I ve heard!), but the group isn't intresting itself, music didn't touch me...
Song in Hindi i liked more :) Video is cool, looks like it was made of Bollywood movie
Comme d'habitude, desolé, j'ai aimé la version anglaise et allemande plus que l'une en français...and one more language looks like spanish or italian, ehm which one?
Matmatah ROCKS! probably the only french music except Téléphone which is worth to listen But my favourite song is the first one
Merzhin sounds OK, but probably it's just not my cup of tea... Good music, but Matmatah is better
Now, songs which I like in Russian and what is popular now:
http://www.nashe.ru/tv-clips/786/ - videos of the most popular hard-core, nu-metal group - this is actually a site of a radio which plays only Russian rock music, so you can listen it on-line
actually there are so many different music that I will never tell even about 1% of it....

I clearly understand. I think we need to be born in this culture to really appreciate this kind of music. As far as I'm concerned, I like it very much, but that's right it's not the music I listen to in my car while driving!

Actually you're right. It's a song in a Bollywood movie.

No need to apologise! The other one is the Spanish version because I didn't find the Italian one.

The songs I gave were extracted from their first album. They came out another one but I don't like it. We do no longer hear the Breton influence in their songs. If you want me to give you some links of their latter songs, just tell me!

Merzhin is famous mainly among young people because you never hear their music on the radios nor anywhere else. Actually, I don't really know how they managed to be famous without any ads.
I listened to the Russian songs.
I didn't really appreciat the first one (Rom) even if it made me think of music I used to listen with my former boyfriend.
B/W is OK as well as the most popular rock folk group.
My favorite song amongst the ones you gave is Veter by DDT. Even if it's rather old, I like it. Good music never fade!
Anyway, thank you for the links!

Let me introduce you to the Swedish band Bob Hund. The singer, Thomas Öberg, is from Skåne and thus his 'r's are uvular and gargly, and his diphthongs are many.
Ska du hänga med? Nä! (lit. will you hang with) - Are you coming? No! - "nä" is how you write "nae" which is how you usually pronounce "nej", meaning "no".
Nu är det väl revolution på gång? - There's got to be a revolution starting now.
