Why oh why can't a coffee shop/restaurant serve you bacon, eggs and toast (breakfast) after a certain time, but can then still serve you a toasted bacon and eggs sandwich?

Because the breakfast cook goes home at 11am.
Don't you guys got a Denny's?? (... or an IHOP).

A what? No, but we do have Wimpy, which do understand that bacon and eggs remain a meal whatever the time of day! And can serve it in different ways! To be fair, not all coffee shops have that attitude. And while we're on the subject, I strongly believe that waitrons are people who should be shot on sight.

Denny's - home of the Original Grand Slam breakfast and Moons Over My Hammy. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Serving stoners for over 60 years.
The Super Grand Slam - 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 strips of bacon, shaved ham, hash browns, English muffins, and a stack of buttermilk pancakes. Who says we American overeat??
IHOP (Int'l House of Pancakes) - home of the Tooty Fruity Fresh 'n' Fruity breakfast. Also open 24/7.
I've never heard of Wimpy. Are they a local (SA) franchise?

Actually I never eat breakfast, but I do like bacon and eggs... later in the day. Which is why it's so frustating.
Yeah, right, you never heard of Wimpy. As American as apple pie!

Oh! Those pictures upset me so much
In Ukraine you can not find real bacon just bacon fat salo!
When in the UK I just love my big English Breakfast and the Tesco Supermarket chain serve it all day
As for Wimpey, to me it is the best chain of Burger Eating House in England and very English.
In Wimpey you sit down and eat with a Knife and Fork, not like the American McDonalds where it is fingers and a plastic spoon if yo have a drink.
