André, I read in another thread that you wanted her to add South-Africa in her list of future travels. But is wheather the only argument you've found?

Here 22°C/12°C. Rather polar, isn't it?

Brrrrrrr. Of course weather is not the only reason why I want Elaine to vist SA! I want to boast having a beautiful American woman on my arm. To show her my beautiful country, of course.

But what am I supposed to do while you have that beautiful American woman on your arm?  Wait for my turn?

Tsk. You will be that beautiful American woman on my arm.   Why do I have to explain this kind of thing all the time to Americans? I had the same problem when Brad Pitt visited, had to explain all the time about the beautiful American man on my arm... tsk....

13 degrees Celcius? You call that spring? Here, that would be considered a nice winter day. OK, if I read the graphics right, those are night time temps, but still. Those are cold nights. 26 by day seems great, though, while 21 is still somewhat wintery!

I think you jinxed our weather here, b/c it is chilly and overcast today.  What the heck happened to our sunny 79°F weather??

Well, we certainly don't have it. Ask the Australians, maybe they've snitched your warm weather! Here, it's fully blown winter!

Our current weather. Four seaons in one day, on a daily basis. So you get up in the morning, it's nice and warm, you dress in T-shirt, jeans and sandals. By 11 it's cold, so you return home to fetch a jersey. By one it's warm again, so you shed the jersey. And by three it's cold again, and your jersey is back at the office, and you're out in the cold....

Which is why I have the flu right now, thank you.... AAAAAAAChhhhoooooooo!!!!!!!

It's been cold around here for this time of year, in the 50s F (11-15 C). And windy and rainy. If I don't see sun soon, I think I might might wilt!

It was 95 yesterday, and was supposed to hit 100 today.  We actually had rain over the weekend -- first time in months.  But now my flowers look ready to wilt again.

It's been raining and raining for 4 days here and the forecast for the next few days is not optimistic either.

Windy as hell today -- so windy I lost a tree!  I'm so bummed -- it was a pretty little sweet gum that was just starting to get nice and tall -- maybe twice my height and as thick as my forearm.  And tonight when I came home it had snapped off at the base and was lying on the ground, all forlorn.  I really liked that tree, and it was coming along so well.... I'll really miss it.

Been raining like a friggin' bitch the last few days -- monsoon season is here with a vengeance.  We're talking nonstop.  I drove through flooded streets this morning!  And the humidity is vicious -- I'm in the hell of short bangs these days.

It's almost October, and it's still not proper summer! Cold at night, with a nip in the air during the day. And there was snow on Table Mountain the other day....

Barely a month ago, I was complaining that summer hasn't turned up properly. Boy, it sure has now! It's hot, hot, hot....  40 degrees on Thursday, not much better today...

Well, it's definitely winter over here.  An Arctic blast has pushed itself down as far south as San Diego.  BRRRRRR it's chilly!

Another sign of winter in LA: ice skating at Pershing Square!
