I recognise those onion-shaped domes. Are they the Kremlin?
No, it's The Cathedral of St. Basil (Vasily) the Blessed on the Red Square, for aught I know. _________________ Az alvástól megéhezem. Az evéstől elálmosodom. Az élet szép.
It says it's common to mistake the Kremlin for the Cathedral of St. Basil. But Loic mistook the Cathedral of St. Basil for the Kremlin!

I love it, too. However, my all-time favourite is the aforementioned Cathedral. _________________ Az alvástól megéhezem. Az evéstől elálmosodom. Az élet szép.
Wanderin, I would never have recognized Moscow from your photos in any case, because of all the cars! There weren't many at all when I was there.
and when were you in Moscow? Traffic jams never end, they are eternal and things are going to be worse coz more and more people buy cars, but roads aren't getting wider... _________________

In 1988, 1990 and 1991. Perhaps "not many at all" is not quite right, but compared to the US, it seemed like not many at all.

Then I understand. You visited Moscow in perestoyka time, when everyone was poor and I bet you haven't seen any foreign cars, only old Ladas and Volgas... Probably you won't recognize Moscow, because the city has changed a lot, now it is the most expensiver place in the world, try to imagin skyscrapers, numerous modern office buildings along the Garden Ring... And the most expensive cars here and there, it's another Moscow you know. _________________

Exactly. I knew some other car names -- maybe Chaika and Moskvich. My friends in (then) Leningrad had a Lada. My friends in Moscow didn't have a car.

More pictures of my hometown, San Francisco --
A couple of weekends ago I went to a dance concert at the Palace of Fine Arts, a complex whose oldest structures are remnants of the 1915 Pan American Exposition (I'm not showing pictures of those). But my favorite part is the lake. Lots of newly-wedded couples like to come her after the wedding to take pictures.

When I was in a dance company in the early- to mid-70s in SF, our usual venue was the PFA theater. It was very nice having this spot to retire to during breaks.
Beautiful... where is it? I love the mountains in the back. _________________ Toe ek jonk was, het ek al die antwoorde geken. Nou verstaan ek nie eens die vrae nie.
