I find that many women go for the thinner guys actually, contrary to the seemingly widespread stereotype of girls liking the muscle-bound men. What's even stranger is that I find that is usually only guys who believe and perpetuate that myth.
That's my observation as well.

My mother's third husband, while not a dedicated bodybuilder (he was an aspiring dancer), did do a lot of weightlifting to try to get more massive muscles. He ended up with big pecs, causing my mother to complain that his boobs were bigger than hers. Conversely, my stepfather always had small calves, and he envied my mother her naturally shapely and fairly sizable calves.
I think the trouble with bodybuilders is that if they are that obsessed with their own bodies, they will not have any time for you. _________________ An apple a day....
Really? In Afrikaans we say water onder die meule (water under the mills). Jeez, our forefathers weren't very attentive to language, weren't they? Or perhaps it was a Dutch thing? _________________ Toe ek jonk was, het ek al die antwoorde geken. Nou verstaan ek nie eens die vrae nie.
This is perfect for this topic. Did you guys hear that Daniel Craig has stated and then insisted that he would like a gay sex scene between Bond and another man to be included in the next James Bond?
He thinks fans would totally accept it. Right... Un sacré optimiste ce Craig.
Well, even though James Bond is mainly known as a ladies' man, I think that could actually be totally in keeping with his character, in a strange way. After all, he beds most of these fine women not out of personal lust but for strategic reasons, and has no feelings for most of them -- doesn't even bat an eye when they succumb to the typical Bond Girl fate of Fed, Bed, & Dead. So a similarly hot yet cold-blooded interlude with a male lover would not be surprising at all. After all, he's the consummate (no pun intended!) opportunist, when you get right down to it. I would love to see that scene! _________________ An apple a day....

Well, I applaud him for being so forward-thinking, but what an odd request. Imagine that, a supposedly straight actor requesting they give him love scenes with another man. If I didn't know any better, I'd suspect him of being [gulp]... gay! Ah well, he's British.

You know something, you have a point there. How enlightening you are!

Don't you suggest such thing... That would make me so aroused... I mean totally shocked and outraged.

So, we have the screenwriter for this scene: you. All I need now is to help Daniel convince the producers that the equation "Gay Bond = unusual for the fans = loss of money" is wrong... That, and that I should be the male lover for this scene too.

I think you will have to fight Didier for that role... and me of course... _________________ Toe ek jonk was, het ek al die antwoorde geken. Nou verstaan ek nie eens die vrae nie.
It is grossly unfair to gay men everywhere that summer comes and what we like bops around nearly naked. I mean, how would straight guys feel if women went topless from June through September?

Yeah, that would be pure hell. Imagine the constant chafing those poor straight men would have to endure!
On another topic, I went out to my first gay bar last night -- well, two of them actually, since we were bar-hopping. What a blast! One even had a stripper contest going -- mostly guys, but with one girl for the lesbians in the audience -- and she had an ass so bouncy even my gay friend had flashbacks to his straight days, I think! And the last two guys were stretching those G-strings to the limits of spandex -- at one point, we both said "A la verga!" in unison when the guy turned around. The music was great, the dancing was good, the drinks were strong, but the best part I think was the look on my friend's face -- he hadn't been out in a looooong time to one of those, and he was just thrilled to death. _________________ An apple a day....

Well, thanks for inviting me along...

Well, she was dancing, and it was very, very bouncy. Honestly, I was on the second floor looking down, but from there, I would have to say that her rear end was far more titillating than her upper deck, mainly because of the way she was moving it. And she seemed more cute and playful than vampy, which added to her appeal. But like I said, I wasn't close enough to see her really well. She must have been pretty hot, though, because the very short-haired girl next to me had her phone out, taking pictures of her! _________________ An apple a day....

State's top court strikes down marriage ban
Bob Egelko, Chronicle Staff Writer
Friday, May 16, 2008
(05-15) 12:38 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- The California Supreme Court struck a historic but possibly short-lived blow for gay rights Thursday, overturning a state law that allowed only opposite-sex couples to marry.
In a 4-3 ruling that elicited passionate responses on both sides of the debate and touched off celebrations at San Francisco City Hall - the scene of nearly 4,000 same-sex weddings four years ago that were invalidated months later - the court said the right to marry in California extends equally to all, gay and straight alike.
The state Constitution's guarantees of personal privacy and autonomy protect "the right of an individual to establish a legally recognized family with the person of one's choice," said Chief Justice Ronald George, who wrote the 121-page majority opinion. He said the Constitution "properly must be interpreted to guarantee this basic civil right to all Californians, whether gay or heterosexual, and to same-sex couples as well as opposite-sex couples."
The conflict over same-sex marriage, in which public opinion and tradition are aligned against a minority group, is similar to the controversy the court confronted 60 years ago when it became the first in the nation to overturn a state ban on interracial marriage, George said.
Dissenters said the court had interfered with the democratic process and overstepped its bounds…
I think this is wonderful news, although I doubt this will last. The right-wing groups are already mobilizing to get a constitutional amendment defining marriage on the November ballot. For gosh sakes, if gays want to be miserable in marriage like all the straight people, let them have that right.
