Actually, men play it here, too. We even have a national men's team, which recently won a series against Lesotho and Swaziland. No, I'm not joking. Real funny to watch, these muscular men doing those moves... But I'm all for it. Netball is a fast, demanding sport. And if men can play basketball, why can't they play netball? Rounders is not baseball, actually. My parents rememebred playing rounders while they were growing up in the 70s, but it seemed to have become extinct by the time I was old enough to go to school. If anything, rounders can be said to be the antecedent of both cricket and baseball.
As for netball, I have never played it. Cannot imagine boys playing it. Back in school, we were always segregated along gender lines for PE. Girls would invariably play netball while we boys usually have a choice of basketball, football or hockey. What the heck is netball? In school we played straight-up basketball, not some genteel sport tailored for wussies.
Anyway, an update: the Lakers were crushed in their 3rd game against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, 103-84, but they bounced back last night in a nailbiting 4th game, defeating San Antonio, 93-91. Now they stand at 3-1 against San Anto.

Unfortunately, the victory was marred by bands of thugs who "celebrated" by vandalizing property, looting, harassing cops and passersby, and torching trees. Jerks!
