For me it's Germany (especially Berlin), the Netherlands (again!), England (again!), France, and the Scandinavian countries. Somehow Africa doesn't interest me (apart from travelling in my own country).
For my part I would like to visit a city on eastern coast of Canada as Toronto for example. I had oportunity several years ago to travel to western Canada Calgary and I found it so marvellous. I'm a person who likes big cities. _________________ Jag tänker alltså finns jag

Geez, where do I start?? There are so many countries I'd like to visit, but top on my list are all the Southern European countries, from Portugal down to Greece. Next would be all the northern and central European countries and across the Channel to the UK and Ireland. I would also love to visit Brazil, and maybe Argentina.

Er... you've accidently omitted South Africa from your list...
Note to self: Cross Los Angeles off that list of places to visit...

Just joking up there! I would love to go to Greece as well, and somehow I'm also very interested in Argentina.

Oops! I completely forgot. Please forgive me. I'd love to visit South Africa!

EUROPE
I have been to western Europe many times, in some countries like Italy or Belgium on several occassions. I have never been to Portugal, Ireland, Holland, Luxembourg or Switzerland. I would like to go to Northern Scandinavia, especially Norway and Sweden (I was only in Uppsala recently). Somewhere around the polar circle. Interestingly, I have never visited Greece but, I don't know why, it is not on top of my list of the most desirable places to visit.
I would like to go to Ukraine and Russia. I was in Ukraine once, but very close to the Polish eastern border. Eastern European countries fascinate me in a way.
ASIA
Hmmm... So diverse continent, but... apart from Asiatic part of Siberia I have never been atracted neither to Arabic countries nor to the Far East. Not like I don't want to go there, but it's not my priority.
AFRICA
As a young boy, after I'd read lots of Verne's books and some books of Polish authors (unfamiliar to you) I wanted to be a naturalist and adventurer and go to Kenya. Now I find the idea of going to most of African countries rather scary in terms of personal safety. Well, maybe I exaggerate, but I have the impression that as a white person I wouldn't be a warmed-welcome guest. Still, I would love to go to Africa.
Supposing I forgot the safety issue, I would choose Kenya, South Africa and any country with a tropical forest.
NORTH AMERCIA
I would love to go to Canada to see those extensive, uninhabited areas of coniferous forests. In the US I was once in Colorado and Arizona (also a little bit of New Mexico and California). I think the strength of USA is in natural reserves - I'd like to see Yellowstone at least. As for the cities - New York, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, Savannah...
SOUTH AMERICA
Peru, Bolivia, Argentina.
AUSTRALIA & OCEANIA
Australia and one of the thousands of islands around it.
Australia and NZ are still on my list from when I was a teenager, but I would also like to see Portugal (since my ancestors came from there -- hokey, I know, but bear with me). I would love to see the cold places of the world, too -- been to Canada and Alaska, and once I got to fly over Greenland -- I was enthralled! I would LOVE to see Antarctica at least once. It was always my goal to set foot on every continent, and I've already done three, so only four more to go.
My friend who teaches high school asked if I would be interested in chaperoning some kids through Europe with her, and I said Hell, no. Then she asked if I would be interested in chaperoning some kids through Europe for free, and I said, Now, we're talking ... this would happen (if it does happen) next year, to give the students time to raise the funds to go, and would involve Paris (which I've already seen twice), and a couple of cities in Italy (which I have never been to). So keep your fingers crossed for me..... _________________ An apple a day....

And like Elaine, you've accidently left out South Africa... How many times do I have to remind you people...?
I would like to visit South Africa, China, Australia and Latvia. _________________ Aja hiljaa sillalla.

All right, but I expect you to show me around personally. And cook for me. And I want back rubs, too. All that sitting in the plane, you know..... _________________ An apple a day....

Good!
South Africa is probably, despite the crime rate, one of the safest countries in Africa. As long as you avoid certain areas, you should be OK. It's always big news when a foreigner is attacked here, but it actually seldom happens. Most cases are when tourists wander off in areas which law abiding South Africans tend to avoid.
Botswana and Namibia, and to a large extent countries such as Zambia and Mozambique are fairly safe as well. Kenya has some problems now... In general, the fact that you're a foreigner (and might therefore not be as alert), rather than the fact that you're white, could attact problems. In Zim, Americans and especially Britons may have problems.

Hmmm... I thought Zimabwe and Nigeria were the safest...
Oh, that Polish sense of humour! I must admit, you had me stunned there for a moment!
