I like this rant because I have, at different times in the past, ranted about everything he does in this video. Also, the way he goes, "It's fifteen fuckin' dollars, SURELY you have that in your wallet!!" in his adorable South African accent cracks me up
WARNING: profanity

Love that accent but what an angry guy! Don't see the problem with credit cards -it must be slower over there or something coz over here it's normal enough to use them to pay for more or less everything.I agree about slow drivers, they piss me off and should get the bus instead.
I often rant on about the roads in Aachen - there are so many pedestrian zones and one way streets that you get stuck in it really fucks me off.German drivers are picky bastards they'll drive at 200mph down the motorway but put them in a city and they'll drive at 20 on an empty road but you can't overtake them coz you can't see far enough ahead. They're damn bossy when you're parking and will even bash on your windscreen to indicate some crap or other.
Now that I that I think about it...looks like roid rage to me... _________________ "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies." ---- Groucho Marx
Yep, that's what I meant Sorry, I had been away from Langcafe a few months, and I sometimes forget it's an international forum. I used to be more careful about using colloquialisms. _________________ "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies." ---- Groucho Marx

Several years ago, before all this steroids-in-sports thing became par for the course, I glanced at a newspaper headline about some ballplayer being suspended for 'roids, and I remember thinking, "Suspended for that?? That's a little too extreme!" Little did I realize that the meaning of roids had shifted from "hemorrhoids" to "steroids'!
I actually thought that roid rage was a variation of road rage, written to imitate its pronunciation in some other dialect that I wasn't familiar with.

That's exactly what I thought except I'd assumed it was a typo and she'd meant to write road. I haven't come across the expression roid rage before, but road rage has been around for years.
As for hemoroids over here we call them piles. I know a girl who got them from tiling her kitchen and it sounded bloody awful. I'd always thought they were like spots, sort of acne in your bum, but it's actually your intestine falling out. Perhaps that bloke's got both sorts of rage, it'd explain a lot lmao

Hemorrhoids are not from your intestines falling out - rather, they are due to weakening of the walls and valves in veins around the anus, causing them to expand and potentially bleed (if the walls of the veins actually break).

So did I. A Hungarian friend of mine spent some time in London as an au-pair a few years ago and also worked in a pub in Hackney (a secure place for a young girl, isn't it ). When a guest pronounced the word 'over' with an East-London accent, she couldn't make it out and thought it was "oiver". And she asked me what 'oiver' meant.
