I picked up this stunning print from Z Gallerie the other day and hung it up in my home office.  I can stare at it for hours and imagine myself standing at the center of it all with not a care in the world.

(The this low quality sample doesn't do it any justice though.)

The print is called Avis de Coup de Vent sur les Poulains by Philip Plisson, and apparently the location is Pointe des Poulins in Belle-Île-en-Mer.  Is anybody here familiar with this area?  Is it a popular destination for travelers?

Hello Elaine! No, I haven't been to Belle-Île so I am afraid I cannot say anything meaningful about this charming island. I have however been *pretty* close to this place. I spent a fortnight in Brittany and I have heard about this place when I was in the tourism office of Lorient.

The Gulf of Morbihan is dotted with such stunning islands such as this. Since I have not been to Belle-Île , the best I can do is to encourage you to visit Brittany and take a daytrip to the island if it catches your fancy. Among all the French regions, I must say that Brittany is easily my favourite.
